I have been trying to think of how to put into words what is going through my head regarding baby Charlie Gard, who died today – a week before his first birthday. All I keep getting is the repeating phrase “spanner in the works” which was how Charlie’s parents were described in an email between two Doctors who were discussing his end of life plan back in April.
I do not trust the state. My children have private healthcare and private education. We cannot afford it. We do it anyway because we fear the control the state wants over our lives and our children. You rely on the state – you forfeit your rights. Charlie’s case tragically illustrates that my fears and suspicions are absolutely true. The State now owns us – our lives are literally theirs to play God with. Today, as an organisation they became our executioners.
As Charlie’s mother put it: “…we’ve had no control over our son’s life, and no control over our son’s death.”
Charlie’s parents in summary of this tragic saga said “They couldn’t save him”. How wrong their choice words are! The truth is they weren’t allowed to save Charlie, they were cruelly prohibited at every step and turn, not even in the last moments when they wanted to take him home to make some private family memories before he died.
We are all Charlie Gard. The state wanted that little boy dead so much they could hardly contain themselves. The Guardian the court appointed to speak on Charlies behalf was the head of two Euthanasia charities!!! The poor baby never stood a chance. What an annoying hindrance his incredibly devoted and courageous parents must have been to those wanting to get on and murder Charlie with dignity. How can anyone now trust the NHS?!
Socialised healthcare means you can be sentenced to death against your loved ones wishes. Socialised education means your kids learn about homosexuality age 4.
We have opted out of this terrifying, disgusting state control as much as we can. If at all possible I would wholeheartedly encourage you to do the same, before it is too late.
