Theresa May and Islamic Extremism – Why she lost my vote.

I was going to vote Tory in the UK General election until I watched Theresa May give her speech following the London Bridge terror attacks. She said Muslim extremists follow a “Perversion of Islam”. That is a very difficult argument to make when they were actually following the direct instructions of the founder and prophet of their religion found in the verses of the Qu’ran and the Hadith.

During her speech I lost all confidence in her ability to effectively eradicate Islamic terrorism in the UK. Of course not all Muslims are terrorists, but all the terrorists we are seeing at the moment are Muslims. Yet the Government and the Press still fail to acknowledge the core issue within Islam which is that there is no centrally approved interpretation of the Islamic holy texts – which means all interpretations are valid.

To me it was just another limp wristed, “British Values” politically correct apology. She lost my vote.

Theresa May wears a headscarf, which most Muslims regard as a sign of the submission of women.

Islamic extremism has been defined by the British Government as any form of Islam that opposes “democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.”

The UK High Court has offered two major definitions for Islamic extremism:

  • The use of violent tactics such as bombing and assassinations for achieving perceived Islamic goals.
  • An extremely conservative view of Islam, which does not necessarily entail violence.

Shekeel Begg, Imam.

In October 2016 Shekeel Begg, a prominent Muslim public figure and Imam at Lewisham Islamic Centre, lost his court case of Libel against the BBC. This case is noteworthy because the judge listed a 10-point definition of Islamic extremism that he used to determine the case.

I want to concentrate on the first and seventh points made in this case by High Court Judge Sir Charles Anthony Haddon-Cave:

  • First, a ‘Manichean’ view of the world. A total, eternal ‘Manichean’ worldview is a central tenet of violent Islamic extremism. It divides the world strictly into ‘Us’ versus ‘Them’: those who are blessed or saved (i.e. the “right kind” of Muslim) on the one hand and those who are to be damned for eternity (i.e. the “wrong kind” of Muslim and everyone else) on the other.
  • Seventh, the classification of all non-Muslims as unbelievers (kuffar).

As you can see, these two points focus not so much on blowing yourself up, but on an ideology in which the Extremist believes himself to be better than those who do not subscribe to his way of thinking. This is nothing new in the history of mankind. We saw exactly this type of vile ideology in Nazi Germany.

Untitled-2

Of course not all Muslims are bad. The majority in the west are moderate, law abiding, peaceful citizens who would not identify as extremists in any way. But I feel we might have overlooked an issue so critically important within the moderate Muslim community, that it could potentially be our downfall.

Judge Charles Anthony Haddon-Cave also seems to have missed this point. He left out an important aspect of non-violent Islamic extremism that is as great a threat to western society as violent Jihad:

*The desire for, or active participation in the Islamification of the West.*

This would apply to any Muslim who desires Islam to be dominant politically, socially, religiously and in any other way. A bit like Ex-Labour MP Shahid Malik who shows what the aspirations of Islam are for the UK. This was filmed at a major Islamic conference in the UK in 2010.

So is Shahid Malik an Islamic extremist? He obviously desires the Islamification of the UK. I would argue that because of this, he is.

Perhaps we should begin all public debates and interviews with Muslims by asking them to define what it is they actually believe. Of course the vast majority of Muslims will be against violent Jihad, but do they accept the notion of Kuffar as set out in the Qu’ran? Do they believe themselves to be better than others simply because they are Muslim? What do they see for Britain’s future in regards to Islam?

Islam-Hate-in-UK

And from their answers we have to determine whether they do actually pose a threat to our society or not, and whether or not we want people who hold these views in our country. Of course these questions should not be limited to Muslims alone – but anyone who seeks to forward the cause of Islam in the UK through indoctrination, normalisation or any other means ie. these Church of England primary School Teachers who took their school kids to the Mosque to learn how to pray.

Year 2 children, aged 6 and 7 from Moordown St John’s Church of England Primary School are encouraged to bow down in prayer at Gloucester Mosque.

I wrote to my own local Tory councilor just before the election in a desperate attempt to find some clarity on how the Tory party is going to with Islamic extremism. I got this reply:

“Dear Clare, Thanks so much for messaging me. As you may know, I work in countering violent extremism so I am particularly interested in making sure we get our counter terrorism strategy right as I have dedicated my recent career to keeping us safe. I would say I am someone who calls it as it is, but in a respectful manner. So if I have the privilege of being your MP I will be plain speaking. The Party has done a very good job of keeping us safe, but now we need to look at what more we can do. Theresa May is the only person suited to doing this. We should root out extremism in all corners of our society, and not be afraid to call it out where we see it. I very much hope you will consider voting Conservative – I believe that as a party we will make the right decisions to keep the UK safe.”

For someone who claims to be plain speaking she has a remarkable ability to avoid using the word “Islam”.

I replied:

“I would be very interested to hear whether the Imams you spoke to are for or against the Islamification of the UK. This is as great a threat to our country as terrorism. I guess we need to keep revising what we class as extremism, and whether desiring the Islamification of the UK could be classed as being extreme. I believe it could.”

She saw the message but I got no reply. I did not vote for her. She did not win the seat.

PM-Ramadan-quote-575x360 (1)

There is currently a drastic lack of confidence in the Government to deal with Islamic terrorism. If Theresa May wants to win this war on Terror then she is going to have to do several things.

  1. Admit that Islamic extremism is a widely held orthodox interpretation of Islam.
  2. Define clearly what constitutes non-violent Islamic extremism.
  3. Identify those who desire the Islamification of the UK and declare their views as extreme.

Once we can do these simple things we can find ways to fight and eradicate the root cause of what threatens Western society. But at the moment the politicians are afraid to even name it. How can we fight an enemy we are not even allowed to name?! If this politically correct silence continues, western society will fall.

I’ll be attending the anti terror march this Sunday June 11th in Manchester.

I will be attending. I hope to see you there 🙂

CNN Organise Fake News London Muslim Peace Demo.

Members of the Muslim community paid their respects to the victims with tributes near London Bridge. Courtesy of BBC News.

Here we can see a lovely pic of some kind hearted Muslims laying flowers and teddies and holding signs with the hashtag #Love Will Win. It was published on the BBC News website.

Knowing that the BBC often use propaganda machines such as The White Helmets to forward their agenda of multiculturalism and “diversity” (which actually just means anti-white), I decided to take a closer look at the pic.

The first thing that struck me was that they had the WRONG bridge on their signs! The bridge on their signs is Tower Bridge:

_96345362_hi03987502

Sign showing Tower Bridge.

This is London Bridge:

1200px-London_Bridge,_Lake_Havasu_City,_Arizona_(3227888290)

London Bridge.

It is a mistake commonly made by American tourists. They often think the biggest and most elaborate bridge is London Bridge and then are rather disappointing when they see that London Bridge is actually a fairly boring normal Bridge!

So It wouldn’t surprise me at all if that sign had been made by a well meaning, if not rather uninformed American.

Why do I say this?

Well, it turns out that those kind and thoughtful Muslim were not holding a spontaneous peace demo at all. The whole thing had been orchestrated by CNN – the American version of the BBC. They had set up the whole event as a photo shoot with Becky Anderson presenting it. They invited along their friends at the BBC and other Media outlets, so as to reassure you that good Muslims are up in London protesting against the terrorists.

That’s right – they faked the whole thing.

That leaves us with a few questions:

  1. Were there no other Muslims protesting the terrorists AT ALL having REAL demo’s that they could have photographed?
  2. Do they really hold us in such contempt that they think they can spoon-feed us Fake News, and we will just swallow it down?
  3. Why did they feel the need to orchestrate and report this fake demo as if it was a spontaneous event?
  4. What is their agenda?

As I have said before – Do not rely on one source of information to form your views. By all means watch CNN and the BBC, but take it with a pinch of salt and also seek other News outlets like Breitbart to gain another perspective.

No more Hashtags, No more Teddies and Flowers. Wake up for God’s sake, we are at WAR!

France_Paris_Attacks.JPEG-053cc_c0-0-4380-2553_s885x516

Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare light a little votive candle or lay flowers. Don’t you dare place a fluffy teddy holding a heart shaped balloon at this “difficult time”.

Don’t you dare change your profile pic or tweet hashtags such as #StrongerTogether #LoveWins or believe that by tweeting #PrayFor… you have fulfilled your moral duty in combating this enemy we are facing.

Your pathetic, repetitive terrorist attack rituals are only adding insult to the deaths of the innocent. Pretty soon you’ll be buying flowers and teddies wholesale – in anticipation of the next attack, and the next attack, and the next….

It begs belief that I am still seeing people online saying “This has nothing to do with Islam…”

In the video above you can see one of the scenes from last nights terror attack on London Bridge where Police were storming a nearby bar in the search for the terrorists. At the end of the video you can hear one man shout “Muslim c***s” and another reply “Don’t shout that you F***ing idiot, it has nothing to do with Muslims.”

I do not condone the language of the first man, but I admit I watched open mouthed as the second man refused to make the link between Islamic Terror and Islam – while he was lying on the floor DURING and Islamic terror attack!!!! The Terrorists were shouting “This is for Allah!” for goodness sake!!!

18814352_1371564886283701_8860265913926310274_n

For all those who still think Islamic terror has nothing to do with Islam, I would suggest educating yourself further afield than what the BBC and Labour London Muslim Mayor Sidiq Kahn tell you. Sidiq tells us that he believes terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city”. Exactly who’s side are you on Sidiq? Why aren’t you protecting us? Is this Taqiyya? (Taqiyya is an Islamic juridical term whose shifting meaning relates to when a Muslim is allowed, under Sharia law, to lie.)

18922076_10211023198189269_8247359921967720491_n

As I have explained before, Islam has no centrally approved teaching. There are different schools of thought and interpretation of texts which means that you can get a Mosque at one end of your road full of perfectly reasonable nice people who are happy to live alongside you peaceably, and another Mosque at the other end of your road where everyone wants to kill you. Certainly not all Muslims are bad, but many millions do subscribe to the vile Wahhabism and Salafism, and it is time you were able to distinguish who is who and what they believe. To defeat your enemy you must know him. Start learning HERE.

Ariana Grande, queen of the Wrist Icicles, will perform her Tribute concert tonight in Manchester. I’m in no doubt she and the other “stars” who will join her on stage will be burying their uneducated heads in the sand, denying there is any link between Islam and Islamic terror. Instead they will be comforting themselves by waving teddies and shouting meaningless slogans like #StrongerTogether #LoveWins and (bizarrely) defending those who view her and the rest of us as kafir. (Kafir is a derogatory term in Islam which describes non-muslims as sub-human and hated by Allah.)

Wake Up. For God’s sake Wake Up. We are under attack. We are at War. We ain’t never gonna win a war with our heads in the sand and fluffy teddy bears sticking out of our politically correct backsides! For God’s sake WAKE UP!

*THE PROBLEM IS ISLAM* And that includes the inaction of the moderate nice Muslims. And if you disagree with me you might wanna just take a little look at this lady explaining why…

No more flowers. No more teddies. What we need now is action.

Last week it was reported in the UK press that Security sources have admitted as many as 23,000 individuals have come to their attention as possible terror suspects. It seems obvious to me that ANYONE who has links to terrorists in ANY WAY needs to be deported RIGHT NOW. If that means all 23,000 suspects then so be it.

We need to start deporting people who want to kill us on our own soil, or who have sympathy with those who want to kill us. This applies to anyone of any colour and any creed.

We need to start deporting people who preach hate in Mosques, and also those who go to listen to that hate. The Mosques need to be demolished and the people who subscribe to terrorist ideology need to be deported. It is no good sending these people to prison. The UK prisons are literally full of Islamic extremists who are on fertile ground for recruiting new members to their vile creed.

We need to start looking at who we are letting into our country through immigration, and tighten the rules at an exponential rate.

We need to start deporting racist Islamic pedophiles who have shown the most disgusting contempt for us and our children. We need to prosecute those who know about, shield, and turn a blind eye to the horrific sexual crimes committed by these men on the basis of political correctness.

We need to start deporting EVERYONE who looks on us as kafir. We saw that type of disgusting ideology in the middle of the 20th century when the Nazi’s looked upon themselves as superior, and everyone else as lesser human beings – especially the Jews who they regarded as sub-human.

Well, we beat those horrible Nazi F***ers and we will beat these horrible F***ers too!! (excuse my French).

If the limp, impotent politicians are refusing to protect us than we are going to have to do it for ourselves until a new political party emerges that is not afraid to deal with this problem. Politicians are swayed by public opinion, so our greatest weapon right now is to talk.

Firstly educate yourself. Learn all you can about Radical Islam, moderate Islam and kafir, and why the powers that be in this country seem to laud Islam as being sacrosanct ie. no-one is allowed to criticize it. Why are they doing that?

Secondly, talk to your friends and family, your work colleagues and neighbors. It doesn’t have to be loud, just a quiet conversation in which you can express that you are no longer going to stand for this politically correct rubbish. You will be surprised how many will agree with you but are afraid to be the first to say it.

Get online and start joining the millions of other people who are no longer afraid to speak up against the completely biased media and their social engineering. The Media has so little power now. You can CHOOSE to bypass it and go straight to social media. Do not rely on one source of information to tell you the truth of what is going on. If you have to read the BBC and the Guardian then fine, but also read sites like Breitbart who will give an alternative view.

As a nation we will defeat this enemy. As a nation. Not by laying flowers and teddies, that will do absolutely nothing. We will defeat our enemy by naming it, knowing it, and having the courage to call it out at every opportunity. As a nation we will rediscover our identity and dignity. We are proud to be British! We will force the government to protect us – or we will elect a new government who will.

Ariana Grande vs Islamic Terror. I WANT BETTER FOR MY DAUGHTER THAN WRIST ICICLES!!!

170523-saffie-rose-roussos-manchester-victim-njs-212p_62afd120c48c5840e68b99d531e97d46.nbcnews-ux-2880-1000

Manchester victim Saffie Rose Roussos, age 8.

Being in my late 30’s and not particularly ‘cool’, I had never actually heard of Ariana Grande. But after seeing Manchester victim Saffie Rose Roussos, age 8, who was so tragically killed I suddenly became emotionally involved. I have a daughter of a similar age and the thought of anything happening to her is simply unimaginable.

Saffie was taken to the concert by her Mum who is still in a coma and unaware of Saffie’s death. My heart breaks for her.

Nell Jones, 14, who was killed in the Manchester bombing

Manchester victim Nell Jones, age 14.

I did think 8 was probably a little young to be going to a concert so late at night. It seems Ariana’s main target audience is pre-teen and teenagers such as Nell Jones, age 14, who was also tragically killed. Her family made a statement saying “We can’t wrap our children in cotton wool.”

These poor innocent kids.

Ariana Grande.

From her appearance of ponytail or bunches with a cute little teenage fringe I assumed Ariana Grande was around 16. She is actually a very young looking very pretty 23 year old. I decided to look up Ariana’s website. It wasn’t pretty. It had a video of her latest song “Everyday” with two lesbians passionately removing each other clothes and making out in public. Later in the video a man in his 70’s rips open the shirt of a lady in her 70’s on a public bus completely exposing her bra, and then they start passionately kissing while Ariana looks at them, nodding her head in approval. In fact the entire video goes on in the same manner. The chorus is:

“He giving me that good shit
That make me not quit, that good shit
He giving me that good shit
That make me not quit, that good shit.”

Giving her the benefit of the doubt here, I decided that this was probably a bad representation of her as an artist and so decided to look up the lyrics of some of her other songs.

I’m not sure a song about getting “railed so hard you can’t walk away” is appropriate for Ariana’s target audience of underage girls.

Later on the song says:

“This the new style with the fresh type of flow
Wrist icicle, ride dick bicycle
Come true yo, get you this type of blow
If you wanna menage I got a tricycle.”

Image result for ariana grande live stage grinding

Ariana ‘grinding’ in the middle of two dancers during a live performance.

For those of you who (like me) had to google “wrist icicle” to find out what it means, then just don’t. I’ll save you the bother. It describes semen hanging off someones wrist once they have finished masturbating a man. “Ride dick bicycle” refers to the girl going on top, “blow” refers to either oral sex or cocaine and “menage…tricycle” refers to an orgy in which the girl is penetrated vaginally and/or anally and/or orally by several different men at the same time.

Ok I think we’ve heard enough.

Here she is again as a sweet little girl…

Image result for ariana grande live

I could go on, but I wont. I’ve made my point. I’m sure Ariana, who left the Catholic church because her brother is gay, is a very sweet person in real life, but her image, her lyrics and her stage show are obviously highly inappropriate for children. Her target audience is underage pre-teen and teenage girls. Saffie Rose Roussos was 8 years old and was taken to the concert by her Mother whom I can only assume did not know how explicit Ariana’s lyrics are.

Now you can call me a prude here, but it would be a cold day in Hell before I would let my beautiful daughter even listen to one of Ariana’s songs, let alone let her go to one of her hyper sexualised concerts. I WANT BETTER FOR MY DAUGHTER THAN WRIST ICICLES!!!

To make light of and normalise such depraved sexual behavior to underage girls is in my opinion nothing more than pedophilic grooming. We don’t see it as such because Ariana looks young and sweet and innocent, but just imagine for a second that those same lyrics were being sung to your underage daughter by a 45 year old man. Kinda changes everything doesn’t it?

Now watch this:

The man in this video clip said the leaflet given to him at Didsbury Mosque claimed “modesty, shame and honour have no place in Western civilisation”.

It is worth pointing out that Didsbury Mosque claims to be moderate, and was previously attended by the father of Salman Ramadan Abedi – the man who carried out the Manchester bomb attack.

It seems obvious to me that Salman Ramadan Abedi targeted the Ariana Grande concert because he believed it lacked modesty, shame and honour. His way of dealing with this was to go there and blow himself up – trying to take as many people as he could with him so as to win as many brownie points with Allah as possible. Hell seems too good a place for him.

But you see the problem, right? Ariana Grande just confirmed for Salman Ramadan Abedi, and everyone in Didsbury Mosque who agreed with and distributed that leaflet, that modesty, shame and honour have no place in Western civilisation.

I would say that going to that concert was possibly the most dangerous thing you could do as a young girl. If the Muslim terrorist didn’t destroy you from the outside, the depravity of Ariana’s lyrics and hyper sexualised stage show would destroy you from the inside.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10

The solution to all of these completely overwhelming, insurmountable issues and problems has a name, and that name is Jesus Christ. He is the only way forward in this morally broken and diabolically threatened society in which we live. His mercy and forgiveness is available to ALL, right now, and it is YOUR responsibility to start making that known.

I’m in Facebook Jail for criticizing a Muslim rape gang.

Image result for facebook jail

I woke this morning to find that I had been put in Facebook jail. My crime? I shared an article from the Daily Mail news website which was reporting on the fact that the Muslim rape gangs that we have seen in areas such as Rotherham and Oxford were still active in large parts of the country. You can read the article here:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4546450/Rochdale-horror-goes-abuse-rife-10-years-on.html

Top row left to right: Abdul Rauf, Hamid Safi, Mohammed Sajid and Abdul Aziz; Bottom row left to right: Abdul Qayyum, Adil Khan, Mohammed Amin and Kabeer Hassan were the others jailed for a combined 77 years with Ahmed over the offences

When posting the article I stated that these men are “racist pedophiles”, because they only target underage white girls. I explained that the men saw these girls as less than human (kufir) because they were white, non-muslims, and that is how they see you and your family too.

I stated the facts. It was not hateful, it was truthful. Apparently it is politically incorrect to state these facts, and so Facebook decided to put me in jail for it.

The day before I read that a good and faithful priest – Father John Higgins, had been put in Facebook jail. His friend – Greg Stone, wrote an open letter to Facebook’s Board of Driectiors:

“…The pastor posted a short, historical account of the invasion of Europe by Islam. It conveyed accurate material that can be found in any college-level history book. The post did not violate any decency standards but rather conveyed historical facts.
FB’s suspension of an account, even on a temporary basis, for “the crime” of posting history presented in an academic and respectful manner crosses a major line.
The line that FB crossed became important to me years ago when I directed the original fundraising film, A Campaign to Remember, for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
My motivation for directing the film can be summed up by George Santayana’s well-known quote: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” While history is sometimes not pleasant to consider, we risk our future if we choose blindness.
In the same way those who refuse to acknowledge the historical reality of the Holocaust are deniers—Holocaust deniers—those who refuse to acknowledge Islam’s history are also deniers.
In both cases, when ad hoc censors bury the lessons of history we risk reliving the horrors of the past…”

Since the Manchester Islamist killed Britain’s children last week, I have had dozens of people privately message me saying that they agree with how I am standing up to Islamic terror and bullying in general, but that they are afraid or unable to say anything themselves. Last night I even had a Police officer contact me:

“Hi Clare – I just read your posts relating to Islam and the people who’ve contacted you privately to agree.
I want to add my own name to the list, and thank you for your openness, something often penalised in reference to certain topics – not least the problems with Islam.
I’m a police officer and as such I can have no comments on my Facebook page bringing attention to what I consider to be the enormous and worsening problem with Islam and extremists . Many thanks for speaking up, being courageous – when you knew you could get online abuse from your comments !”

This police officer would loose their job if they posted that publicly.

I think it is pretty safe to say that the mood has changed drastically since the Manchester attack. Normal ordinary people have had enough. And Facebook has openly proved itself to be no friend of free speech – and even seems to be suppressing factual information if it critcises Islam in any way – yet they can’t seem to intercept the accounts of terrorists…

The way forward is to speak up on several different communication platforms. This puts the platforms in competition with each other for users. That way the truth will never be able to be suppressed because people will eventually gravitate to the platform which allows the freest speech.

It takes courage to speak up – but when enough people do it it becomes a case of “I am Spartacus”.

The truth will out. Do not be afraid!!

Papal Envoy Archbishop Henryk Hoser invites us to “…sign up for some of the seminars here in Medjugorje so that you would be able to discover something that you wouldn’t be able to dream about.”

Archbishop Henryk Hoser – Papal Envoy to Medugorje.

Yesterday I watched a very positive press conference from Medjugorije given by Papal Envoy to Medjugorje, Archbishop Henryk Hoser.

Archbishop Hoser is not there to comment on the authenticity of the apparitions. His role in the investigative commission is to focus more on the pastoral side of things.

First of all he spoke about the pastoral Initiatives now and for the future to tend to the needs of the many pilgrims who come and will be coming to Medjugorje. He spoke of the many “positive fruits” that have come, and continue to come from Medjugorje.

811_1061

St James’ Church in Medjugorje.

“Not long ago, Medjugorje was not very well known.  It was just a little place between two hills which is the meaning of the name “Medjugorje”. Today, Medjugorje is know throughout the whole world. Pilgrims are now coming from about 80 countries from all over the world.   The significance of this place we can compare to Lourdes.  2.5 million pilgrims are coming here, in Lourdes there is 6 million people who come but that has been here for 150 and Medjugorje only 36 years.  It is a time to make a first estimate and for the future growing of this place.  Why so many people coming here?   On one hand they have surely heard about the apparitions in Medjugorje taking place since 1981 on the other hand, those others who are coming are experiencing something extraordinary.”

“First, the atmosphere is an atmosphere of peace and reconciliation, and of inner peace and peace of the heart.  Also what they discover is a huge space for profound religion and spirituality.  They rediscover or discover what something sacred and Holy means.”

medjugorje-prayer-youth-festival_4

Priests line the front of the crowd during Medjugorje youth festival.

“In Medjugorje they encounter sacred time and sacred space.  That sacred means specially reserved for something that is divine.  Usually it says that Medjugorje is the place where we honor our lady and that is the truth.  But if we look deeper we will see that actually it is all completely turned to worshiping Christ.   For instance at the center is the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, transmitting of the word of God, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, where one discovers the real presence of Jesus Christ and his Divinity and Character.”

“Some discover the prayer of the Rosary that is meditative prayer on the mysteries of our faith.  And when they pray the way of the Cross they enter into the pascal mystery which is the mystery of passion death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

2010_mej_1018855confession-lines1

People queue for the Sacrament of Confession in some of the 61 confessionals in Medjugorje. The queues are regulary 10-15 people deep.

“I would like to conclude this with a question of the Holy Sacrament of Confession with the personal and personalized Sacrament.  From the religious perspective, Medjugorje is a very fertile ground.  During the pervious years we noticed and counted 610 priests with vocations that came from medjugorje with the greatest number from Italy, the US and Germany.  When we are aware of crises of Vocations in those countries then we can see that there is something new, something that can touch us in a profound way.  If we look at the distribution of Holy communion, which is the only way we can keep track of the number of pilgrims arriving here, then we can see there were were 37,000,000 Holy Communions that were administered  pilgrims here since 1986 to today.  And we can say that the number of pilgrims is greater because not that all those who come can receive Holy Communion.”

“When it comes to evaluating events in Medjugorje we should differentiate different areas.  The first area is the parish.  The parish takes care of people who live here people who work here and parish is already and then the number of those living in the parish has increased.”

2013_mej_1024554-confession

Confession in Medjugorje.

“The parish in the previous century that built the way of the Cross on Cross Mountain was the parish that accepted Medjugorje.  The story of the parish of Medjugorje that was written is also the phenomenon of the visionaries.”

“The second belongs to the pilgrims.  Up to 2.5 each year that come and that number is also growing.  Of course it is a huge challenge for priests who serve here and this phenomenon has grown to include  the current infrastructure that needs to respond to the increase in pilgrims.”

images

Crowds often exceed 10,000 during outdoor Adoration in the summer months.

“The Chapel of Adoration, and the huge space in the back of the church was all added in time according to the amount of pilgrims that were coming here.  On the other hand we see the development of this place. There are more and more hotels, and shops that reminds me a lot of Lourdes already.  It might not be widely known but Lourdes is the largest hotel town after Paris. Maybe that is the future of Medjugorje in relation to Sarajevo.”

“The population is growing and what else is growing is the possibility of accommodating pilgrims.”

“There have been things that were created here that were initiated from Franciscans like Mother’s village.  It is worth visiting because it is about watching someone’s life in those difficult faces with orphans who have difficulties, addicts, men who are there because of drugs, because of alcohol and those who are disabled.”

“That is an expression of an act of love that is related to the faith.   There is another thing that is very important and that is Domus Paces which  is the house for silent retreat and spiritual exercises.  We have more than 1000 to 2000 groups that have passed and more that 42,000 participants over these years.  Those type of spiritual exercises transform people from the inside.  And the seminars are yet another fruit of the Parish of Medjugorje.  The seminars that are held each year and take place once a year already for 23 years  are seminars that are open to everyone. And for 22 years it is exclusively for the formation of priests. For 17 years there is the seminar for married couples and for 4 years seminars for Doctors and medical professionals. Last year first year we had pro-life seminar that was organized for the protection of human life.  And there is one for those with disabilities.”

“I would like to recommend to you to sign up for some of the seminars here in Medjugorje so that you would be able to discover something that you wouldn’t be able to dream about.”

The first time I wore a mantilla…

Rhoslyn Thomas wears a Di Clara Aubergine Mini Mantilla.

By Rhoslyn Thomas.

The first time it ever occurred to me that I might like to veil, I was 21 and walking home from Mass. I admitted to my friend that I was having thoughts about wearing a mantilla. We both laughed: What was happening to me?! This wasn’t ‘me’ at all. But we had both changed a lot in that last year and we were slowly getting used to the idea of letting God take the reins in our lives.

A few weeks later, I was living about 60km outside of Rome and attending, almost daily, an Old Rite Mass celebrated by the FSSP. I wanted so much to cover my head in Mass, not because anyone ever pressured me, but because I thought it was a beautiful gesture. However, I was very nervous and self-conscious.

Someone had once mentioned veiling to me on pilgrimage. She told me that our hair is our glory and that by covering it, we honor God while we are in His presence, i.e. in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. I am ashamed to say that, before this short conversation, I actually thought that women who wore veils were a bit oppressed! As I began to become interested in veiling, I very quickly realized that this assumption could not be further from the truth (if only I could have seen myself now, how I would have laughed!).

The first time I finally worked up the courage to cover my hair during Mass, I was absolutely terrified. I wanted to do it so much, but in my mind I felt everyone was watching me. I sat at the back of the church in Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini in central Rome and tried to forget all my worries.

I actually felt different when I was wearing it. In a very short time, my mantilla came to be a great help to me in concentrating on the Mass and in helping me to differentiate between the outside world and God’s house, where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass would take place and where I am in the presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

At home, the reaction to my mantilla is almost always overwhelmingly positive. People just realize somehow that it is a very beautiful reverent thing to do in a sacred place. Now it is second nature to me and I would not be without my veil.

For those who are just starting out with veiling, a mini-mantilla might just be the thing for you. It is not as big as a full size mantilla and is also really practical if you are dealing with young kids at Mass. I have promised myself an early Christmas present of a purple one I can wear during Advent!

Until you veil, it’s hard to describe what it will do for you. The best way to find out would be to just try it! If you are feeling nervous then just start wearing it at home while you pray, then you might want to wear it at adoration, and before you know it you will have the desire to wear it every time you step into the church!

Before long, you’ll come to see how much more a veil will be to you than just a piece of material.

For a full range of mantilla veils, I would recommend www.diclara.co.uk who offer flat rate shipping worldwide.

Today I put my wedding rings back on.

Today I put my wedding rings back on.
I took them off about 15 years ago when the grudge started.

The grudge was because I expected my husband to fulfil my every need. I had idolised him. I put him in the place of God.

My husband was my knight in shining armour when we got married, and I placed this insurmountable burden on him without even realising.

The fact is that I was expecting him to fulfill the parts of me that only God can fulfil. I had placed my husband above God. And because he couldn’t fulfill the God shaped hole in my heart, I unconsciously started to hold a very low level, almost unnoticeable grudge. Subconsciously I must have always been thinking “What am I getting out of this?” rather than “”What can I give to this marriage?”

Over the next 15 years this grudge effected my relationship with God because, without realising, I was not putting Him in the first place in my life. I was not recognising God as provider. I always felt this terrible separation from God, but I didn’t know why.

When my husband became ill 3 years ago, my earthly provider stopped being able to provide. And because I had put him in the place of God, I had no where to turn.

The fear I felt in those years is something only an atheist would understand. I couldn’t feel God near me, and I had no idea it was my own doing.

A few weeks ago it reached crunch point. I had already reconciled that I couldn’t leave, but I felt I couldn’t stay either. Who would provide for me?

It was after reading the ‘Healing of Families’ book that I realised I had been harboring this grudge, and that my relationship with my husband and with God was out of sync. I took all that to confession, along with a few other things.

I felt the fear lift. I felt the grudge go. I felt my relationship with God fall back into place. And I felt free to love my husband – agape Love, unconditional love, for the first time ever in our marriage.

He asked me “Why have you decided to do this now? I can’t provide anything for you right now.”
I told him “This is the perfect time, the FIRST time I have ever been able to love you unconditionally.” 😊

I now recognise God as provider, and the love in my relationship with God, and with my husband has grown immensely. I am now free to love. And my husband is free from the burden of being put in the place of God.
